Cleaning a grinder ensures that your grinder lasts longer and can do its job better. After a long time, accumulations of THC and other residues ensure that your grinder no longer crumbles properly and the rotating mechanism becomes stuck. Cleaning plastic grinder
Cleaning a plastic grinder, or acrylic grinder , is possible using one of the methods below.
Cleaning a plastic grinder with vinegar
- Heat a pan with plenty of water and white vinegar in it.
- Place the grinder parts in the pan.
- Let it soak for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the parts (be careful: hot!).
- Scrub off the last residue with an (old) toothbrush.
- Rinse the grinder parts with (cold) water.
- The grinder is clean again!
Cleaning a plastic grinder in the dishwasher
Some plastic grinders are dishwasher safe. Make sure that your plastic crumbler is suitable for this, otherwise you run the risk of the grinder coming out of the dishwasher deformed. If your crusher is suitable for the dishwasher, make sure that all parts are placed separately in the dishwasher, so that each part can be cleaned properly. We recommend placing the grinder parts in the cutlery tray of the dishwasher, so that they do not get stuck in the dishwasher filter.
Cleaning metal grinder
Cleaning a metal grinder, or aluminum grinder , can be done in different ways. It is not recommended to put a metal grinder in the dishwasher due to possible rust formation, which will make the crusher unusable. If your grinder does have rust, this can be removed with cola.
Clean metal grinder with milk
- Place a pan with milk (semi-skimmed or whole milk) on the stove.
- The milk does not have to boil, but it does have to be hot.
- Leave the grinder parts in the milk for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the crumble parts from the pan (be careful: hot!).
- If necessary, scrub off the last residue with an (old) toothbrush.
- Rinse the grinder parts with (cold) water.
- Your grinder is clean again!
Clean metal grinder with alcohol
- Place the grinder parts in a bowl or pan with a generous layer of alcohol.
- Let the parts soak for a few minutes.
- Remove the grinder parts from the bowl or pan.
- Scrub off the last residue with an (old) toothbrush.
- Your grinder is clean again!
Clean metal grinder with boiling water
- Place the grinder parts separately in a pan with water.
- Bring the pan of water to the boil.
- Leave it for 5-10 minutes.
- Remove the grinder parts from the pan (be careful: hot!).
- Scrub off the last residue with, for example, an (old) toothbrush.
- Rinse the grinder parts with (cold) water.
- The grinder is clean again!
