Cannabis seed and hemp seed are actually the same. However, 'cannabis seed' often means feminized seeds, or with a 95% chance that it will become a female plant. Hemp seed is the general term that does not distinguish between female or male. The name 'hemp seed' is therefore mainly used when talking about food for both humans and animals.
