Shortly after the Second World War, there was a shortage of rolling paper, and importing these papers was not permitted. This gave Frank Mignot the idea to use Bible paper, and he released rolling paper under the name "Mascotte." This resulted in the first fine, wafer-thin paper. Mascotte is now the market leader in the Netherlands for regular rolling papers, filter tubes, and rolling machines. Meanwhile, Mascotte also releases Long rolling papers.
