A Zippo petrol can contains 125 ml of petrol. This is enough to fill your Zippo several times. Before you know it, your Zippo will be burning like new. At first it may not be easy to fill your Zippo and you will have to practice a bit, but in no time you will be able to do this with two fingers in your nose and your eyes closed. How do you fill a Zippo?
- For optimal performance: buy genuine Zippo fluid!
- Open the lid of your Zippo
- Remove the inside by holding the wheel firmly with two fingers and pulling on the metal
- Place the Zippo housing in a safe place
- Turn the inside upside down so you can see the felt underside
- Carefully lift the felt protective layer (for example with a paper clip or screwdriver) so that the cotton underneath becomes visible
- Squeeze some Zippo gasoline into the loose cotton
- Wait about five seconds and pour some more Zippo liquid into the cotton
- Repeat step eight until the cotton is completely saturated
- Close the felt protective layer again
- Put the inside back into the housing
- Let the Zippo sit for a few minutes to allow the liquid to be properly absorbed
- Your Zippo is now ready to use again!
